Every business of purpose begins with a flash of clarity, where life suddenly makes sense and creating a business is the obvious choice.

This clarity is felt in your bones, cells, DNA – it is deep. So deep that trying to explain what you feel and want to do not only fails do it justice, it leaves you questioning the clarity you felt.

This profound knowing comes up head first against an overwhelming weight of “expertise” and perceptions of success that ask you to focus on financial performance, followers, conversion rates and more. Meanwhile, you are still stuck trying to put into words what you know there is a need for. So much so that you wonder if anyone will be interested, given that the words that do come out don’t feel outside of you how they feel inside of you.

Why Transformational Businesses Don't Fit The Normal Model

All that knowledge out there says define your business, market and services first so you can test them.

This does not work for transformational businesses because they are primarily energy driven, not logic driven.

Energy does not fit into nice neat boxes of expectation – it challenges you to think and act differently.

Your market, pitch, services and more emerge from the energy. If you don’t get to know the energy first, you will always feel out of sorts inside your business because it won’t be designed to respond naturally to the impulse that got it started.

The Importance of Energetics in Business

Business energetics is the art of turning energy into expression and it doesn’t follow the usual rules.

There are five layers of energy in a business and the first is the most important for transformational businesses.

It’s the essence or soul of the idea. When you start here, you can build your business from the inside out rather than fitting it into some standardised idea of what it should be and how it should function.

The soul of your business isn’t one single thing, but a combination of energies coming together.

Your business idea emerges from your soul cues. Most business concepts could be interpreted in hundreds of ways, but your life and soul have set you up for one particular interpretation. You can change your concept or even pivot your field and still stay within the interpretation because it is all about impact.

Soul work is the impact you want to create.

At some point, this will coalesce into the notion that creating your own business is the way to go. That’s when the energy of your business is created - by you.

It’s a big energy because it is soul-conceived, and when you bring this energy into your business, its potential increases exponentially.

You already understand these energies at a subtle level, but that doesn’t automatically mean you can turn them into a swish business plan and snappy marketing. They need to be explored and interpreted so you can hone your business vision and line up your direction. Time spent on this dramatically reduces stress and frustration down the line.

Turning Energy into Effective Action

How do you go about translating these energies into robust actions?

My approach is to work with the wisdom you already have. I believe you don’t need to ask for external expertise to get a plan in place because you already have the answers. I coax these out of my clients by working with very specific frequencies within a business.

For the first layer, this includes inception and vision energies that anchor understanding so it can be expressed with integrity and coherence. This helps clients to overcome that feeling of not being able to get the words out and stops the spiral of doubt in its tracks.

We then progress to the energies that shape the business model, services, messaging, marketing and audience growth. Approaching the process from the inside out means that each stage is created for the unique energy of your business rather than employing off-the-shelf tactics that everyone else uses. This brings flexibility and versatility down the line when you want to shake things up or embrace new directions without starting from scratch.

If we didn’t explore those energies of purpose first though, the pieces simply wouldn’t come together. Time spent getting to know and understand purpose makes it simpler to move your business from concept to action, not to mention faster in the long run.
